Enhanced accommodation assessments have several tools and accommodation features that help meet students' needs during the Mastery Connect assessment process. The text-to-speech tool can read passages, question stems, and question responses aloud to students.
District administrators and assessment facilitators can enable and manage the text-to-speech tool at the individual student level and at the tracker level.
Enter Student and Test IDs
Have your students enter the Test ID and their Student ID into https://student.masteryconnect.com/.

When text-to-speech is enabled a toolbar will appear in the upper left of the assessment.
Play Text-to-Speech Audio
Push the Play button to have text-to-speech read the entire question and answer choices.

Use the pause or stop button as needed. In addition, you can click on the hand icon to highlight a portion of the text to be read aloud.
Note: Text-to-speech is currently available for questions and passages, but will not read images or text associated with the images.
